Mother’s Day brunch or dinner specials at Milwaukee-area restaurants, 2023

Mother’s Day is May 14, and area restaurants are prepared to do all the cooking. Enjoy a meal with your mom at one of these nearby resorts and restaurants offering special hours and menus for the day:

Alpine Valley Resort

Brunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with an a la carte menu of specials featuring egg and steak Benedict ($19); eggs Benedict ($15); chicken enchiladas ($14); veggie, or brie and bacon omelets ($14) served with breakfast potatoes and toast; breakfast nachos ($14) with bacon, ham and sausage; Nutella strawberry French toast ($15); and chocolate chip or carrot cake pancakes ($12).

Also on the menu are traditional breakfast items such as sugar doughnuts ($8) and a fruit platter ($12), and sides of meat, toast, bagels or potatoes. Desserts range in price from $6 for cakes or cupcakes to $4 for lemon bars. Specialty drinks are priced at $12 and include a bittersweet chocolate martini, espresso martini, or a cafe grande with Irish Cream and Grand Marnier.

Apple Holler

Order just the meat, sides or full take-home dinners available as individual or as family size, serving four to six people.

Place orders by noon May 10, for pickup on May 12, 13 or 14. The apple cider glazed ham dinner ($34.95 individual; $169.95 family), turkey dinner ($38.95 individual; $179.95 family), and the prime roast beef dinner ($43.95 individual; $199.95 family), all include mashed potatoes and gravy, honey glazed carrots, apple-bread stuffing, mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole, relish, dinner rolls and apple butter, caramel apple pie and apple cider.

Sides only of mac and cheese or mashed potatoes are $14.99, and sweet potato casserole is $16.99. Meat only orders are $113.97 for prime rib; $99.97 for turkey; and $89.97 for ham.

The Bartolotta Restaurants

The restaurant group will offer brunch at all of its dining locations, with dinner available at Ristorante Bartolotta, and Mr. B’s in Brookfield and Mequon. Bartolotta Catering & Events will host a brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Italian Community Center, priced per person at $64.95 for adults, and $19.95 for children. The menu features appetizers, chef-made omelets and traditional breakfast items, stations with pasta, roasted chicken and salmon, salads and breads, carved beef sirloin and turkey breast, French toast and desserts.

The brunch buffet at The Grain Exchange is priced priced per person at $69.95 for adults, $23.95 for children. The menu includes appetizers such as jumbo shrimp cocktail, country pork pate. smoked salmon and trout, pasta and vegetable salads, cheese and breads. Additional stations feature omelets, leg of lamb and cider pork loin, desserts and a kids station with scrambled eggs, pigs in a blanket, chicken tenders, and mac and cheese.

The Bacchus brunch menu is $65 per person and includes a choice of entrees such as Wagyu steak and eggs, brioche French toast, filet medallions, sauteed salmon, or eggs Benedict. The Lake Park Bistro brunch menu is $55 per person and features roasted lamb loin, eggs and beef filets, a crab or traditional eggs Benedict, quiche Lorraine, a buckwheat crepe with ham, Scottish salmon, brioche French toast, or a scrambled eggs and asparagus baked puff-pastry.

The Ristorante Bartolotta brunch menu is $55 and includes main course choices such as linguini and clams, baked Italian frittata, a wood-roasted beef filet with scrambled eggs, pan-seared chicken breast, French toast with berries and bacon, eggs Benedict with roasted potatoes, baked Mediterranean sea bass, pasta with pesto, or creamy carnaroli rice with cheese.

The pricing at the following restaurants is based on main entrée choices: Harbor House entrées feature eggs Benedict, waffles, a frittata, lobster tail, salmon, scallops, halibut, trout, filet mignon, prime rib roast, roast lamb, or Surf & Turf combinations. Joey Gerard’s brunch menu includes traditional eggs Benedict, a mushroom omelet, smoked salmon Benedict, a breakfast burger, chicken piccata, country fried steak and eggs, or filet mignon. The menus at Mr. B’s Steakhouse in Brookfield and Mr. B’s Steakhouse in Mequon feature steak and eggs, eggs Benedict, brioche French toast, a seafood omelet, roasted vegetable and quinoa, roasted salmon, filet mignon, or a Manhattan cut NY Strip. Bavarian Bierhaus

The restaurant and brewery will offer a brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring a menu with roasted ham, roast beef, Usinger sausages, broiled cod, French toast, grilled chicken and more. The Capital Grille

The restaurant will have four brunch specials available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., including a new smoked salmon and caviar dish featuring Royal Ossetra caviar, crème fraîche, and served with a white cheddar potato cake. Additional menu items include a lobster frittata with asparagus, a 14-ounce bone-in dry aged N.Y. strip and eggs, or an 8-ounce center cut filet mignon, all served with white cheddar hash browns. Beverage choices include mimosas, glasses of champagne, or selections from the wine list. A children’s menu and a la carte dinner options are available all day.

DanDan

Milwaukee's Chinese-American eatery is offering a special Dim Sum menu from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 14. The menu will include cumin lamb dumplings, shrimp and lobster shu mai, steamed barbecue pork bao, tempura fried oyster mushroom, lap cheong sausage mantou, steamed Japanese eggplant, turnip cake and Chinese egg custard. Fan favorite dim sum dishes such as short rib and foie gras potsticker, crab rangoon, sichuan pork dumplings and smashed cucumbers will also be served.

Eldr + Rime

The Wauwatosa restaurant will offer a brunch buffet from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with made to order items, a carving station with roast beef and ham, a raw bar, sweet stations and breakfast favorites. $80 per person, $35 for children 14 and under. Grand Geneva Resort

The resort is offering two dining options for Mother's Day. A breakfast buffet will be available in the Grand Cafe from 6:30 a.m. to noon, priced at $22 for adults, $14 for children ages 6 to 12, and $9 for children ages 3 to 5, with all seating first-come, first-served.

A three course lunch, served family style in the Geneva ChopHouse, features a complimentary mimosa and Bloody Mary bar, with seatings from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations are required. The menu includes sides, desserts, chef carved meats, and entrees such as roasted NY strip, glazed ham, crab stuffed salmon, and omelets. Moms get a free mimosa on Mother's Day at Lowlands Group restaurants. Or they can choose a Lowlands Brewing Collaborative Bier.

Lowlands Group

Brunch specials are available May 13 and 14 at all Lowlands’ restaurant locations, with one free Mimosa or Lowlands Brewing Collaborative Bier for moms. Hours for dining are 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Buckatabon Tavern & Supper Club, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Café Benelux, Centraal Grand Café & Tappery, and Café Hollander locations.

The Buckatabon Tavern & Supper Club brunch special features the baked strawberry shortcake of pancakes and fresh strawberries. Centraal Grand Café & Tappery will feature a vegetable goat cheese quiche served with hollandaise and shredded salad. Café Benelux will be serving a tomato proscuitto Benedict with tomato slices, and breakfast potatoes. And Café Hollander locations will offer the caprese Benedict topped with roasted tomatoes, mozzarella and basil.

Lupi & Iris

The downtown restaurant will offer a three-course brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and a three-course dinner from from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. The brunch entrees include a choice of lamb, beef tenderloin, flank steak, chicken breast, swordfish, sea bass, pasta and French toast. Egg dishes include an asparagus and goat cheese quiche, and desserts feature shortbread, crepes, cake or sorbets. Brunch is $50 for adults, $25 for children (plus tax and gratuity).

The main course options for dinner are Dover sole, an Italian seafood stew, sea bass, a wood-grilled swordfish steak, roasted half chicken, beef tenderloin, lamb, or a French chickpea cake with asparagus. Desserts include baked caramel custard, dark chocolate or olive oil cakes, and a selection of house-made sorbets. Pricing for dinner is $75 for adults, and $35 for children (plus tax and gratuity).

Mader’s

The German restaurant will offer a Mother’s Day all you can eat buffet from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. featuring steamship round, honey baked ham and many other German favorites. The brunch menu will be served from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and it is priced at $44.95 per person. The dinner buffet is available from 4 to 7 p.m., and it is priced at $47.95. Children ages 3 to 12 years are $16.95.

Matilda

The bakehouse offers breakfast and brunch pre-orders for Mother’s Day with drive thru pick up from 9 a.m. to noon May 13. The menu features two specials: a tasting box of four round croissants, with one each of chocolate caramel, strawberry rhubarb, lemon poppy seed, and mocha ($27); and the donut monster & matilda box ($30) which includes a banana split filled bun, a dozen buttermilk donut holes with sprinkles, a strawberry rhubarb supreme croissant, a spiced orange monkey bread, and a chocolate croissant. The ham and cheese egg bake ($28), which serves 4 to 6, is made with croissant dough, ham, leeks, and Wisconsin white cheddar in an 8x8 size pan. Additional sweets include a family size orange spiced monkey bread ($18), or a bag of shortbread sprinkle bites ($7).

MOTOR Bar & Restaurant

The restaurant on the Harley-Davidson Museum campus will offer a full brunch menu from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Sunday entrées include bacon avocado toast, and the Hog Wild Breakfast Bowl featuring breakfast potatoes, eggs, house smoked beef brisket, pork shoulder and diced hot link sausage, served with a buttermilk biscuit. Bring the kids for The Little Trikes Breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon and fruit served on a keepsake MOTOR flying disc. A bottomless mimosas special is available at $20 per person.

Old Town Serbian Gourmet Restaurant

The European-style restaurant will offer brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. on Mother's Day. The chef specials include petite filet mignon ($28) with sautéed buttered mushrooms; salmon Wellington ($25) served with a dill cream sauce and fresh asparagus; Palachinka stuffed crepes ($16.95), sweet and savory; Serbian cinnamon Babka ($14), thick cut with creamy butter and served with a whiskey sauce and fresh fruit; and chocolate mousse ($8) with fresh raspberries. Drinks specials include a peach Bellini or strawberry Mamosa for $9, various bloody Mary specials from $9 to $10, as well as crafted cocktails.

Outback Steakhouse

The restaurant is celebrating moms with its Mums Over Mates menu featuring a Peach Bellini cocktail available only from May 10 to 14. The Mother's Day menu includes a breaded shrimp dish drizzled with spicy onion sauce, a filet and lobster combo, prime rib with an herb crust, and flame grilled shrimp served with garlic toast. Desserts include a brownie cake made with chocolate mousse and cookies from Australia, and a New York style cheesecake served with a choice of raspberry or chocolate sauce.

The Packing House

The Pfister

The hotel offers a Mother’s Day buffet beginning at 9 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom. The menu includes artisanal breads, starters such as pasta salad, grilled asparagus or deviled eggs, a sculpted ice and seafood display with oysters, tiger prawns and salmon, as well as brunch entrees like eggs Benedict, sweet and sour citrus-roasted chicken, maple-glazed pork tenderloin and breakfast items from the griddle. In addition to hand-carved prime rib and bone-in ham, there are made to order stations for omelets or pasta. A dessert display includes mini cheesecakes, cupcakes, cone pops and cookies, and gluten free options such as carrot cake and Italian pudding.

Dream Dance Steakhouse will be the site for a fancy Mother's Day dinner at Potawatomi Casino Hotel. The steakhouse reopened in January after being closed for nearly three years.

Potawatomi Casino Hotel

The entertainment venue will offer brunch and dinner options on Mother’s Day, with a buffet menu in both the Event Center and at the Canal Street Café, and dinner in the Dream Dance Steakhouse. The Event Center buffet offers seatings from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is priced at $70 for adults, and $25 for children ages 3 to 10. The Canal Street Café buffet will feature chef omelets and carving stations from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and it is priced at $40 per person. Mother’s Day dinner at the Dream Dance Steakhouse features prime-grade steaks, fresh seafood and desserts at $125 per person.

Punch Bowl Social Milwaukee

The Deer District restaurant is open from noon to 10 p.m. May 14 and will offer brunch menu specials from noon to 3 p.m. Special menu items include the crab and avocado scramble made with goat cheese, baby lettuce, herb vinaigrette, ciabatta and chives; and the Dutch baby pancake made with asparagus, poached eggs, arugula, tomato jam, and shaved Parmesan. The brunch beverages include crafted cocktails, wine, beer and a Bloody Mary bar.

Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel

Sanford Restaurant

Pre-order a Mother’s Day brunch by May 10, with curbside pickup from 12:30 to 3 p.m. May 13. The brunch package ($255) serves four and is a cold pickup with simple heating instructions. The menu features slow roasted rib of beef, and includes roast cauliflower with mushrooms and ramps, spring vegetables, Yukon potato puree, red wine beef jus, rolls and butter, with lemon pound cake for dessert.

The Social American Tavern

Mother’s Day brunch is offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The menu features beef stew, chicken piccata, shrimp cocktail and oysters, baked salmon in puff pastry, omelets made-to-order, and breakfast items such as pancakes, danish and muffins. Desserts include mini cheesecake bites, tiramisu and chocolate cake. The buffet is priced at $55 per person, with a bottomless mimosas or Bloody Marys drink option available at $25 per person.

Choose from an assortment of breakfast classics such as frittatas, brioche French toast bread pudding, eggs Florentine, a waffle bar and other breakfast sides, or lunch dishes that include rigatoni Bolognese, baked ham, Wagyu beef brisket, or wood grilled salmon filet.
