GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE DISCUSSED: 

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District intends to prepare a National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) assessment for the Lake Okeechobee Component A Storage Reservoir (LOCAR) on behalf of the non-federal interest, the South Florida Water Management District, who is conducting a Section 203 integrated feasibility study and Environmental Impact Statement. A scoping letter will be used to invite comments from Federal, State, and local agencies; affected Indian Tribes; and other interested private organizations and individuals.  The proposed project is subject to review pursuant to (but not limited to) the Coastal Zone Management Act, Endangered Species Act, Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Farmland Protection Policy Act, National Historic Preservation Act and NEPA.  

One or more members of the Governing Board of the South Florida Water Management District may attend this workshop. No Governing Board action will be taken.
