Our team all hold enhanced DBS checks, have up to date first aid and safeguarding training and adore working with children (we’re teachers, playworkers, nursery nurses and Forest School Leaders!)

By ticking the box below I understand that my child may, at an appropriate level, have opportunities to take managed risks including climb trees, swing on rope swings, get muddy, work safely with hand tools and make small contained (supervised) fires during their Forest School experience. These activities are fully risk assessed and led by a qualified Level 3 Forest School Practitioner and First Aider, risks are minimised, but accidents may occur. As the parent/carer of the child named above, I have read, fully understood and am satisfied with the details supplied regarding today’s Forest School activities, and agree for my child to take part in them, and I give consent for first aid to be given by a trained first aider.  *

All information gathered for Forest School sessions at Birch is used only for the purpose of contacting next of kin in an emergency and providing the best possible care for your child. Data is stored securely on a spreadsheet using Dropbox for up to one year, after which it is destroyed. You can opt for your data to be removed from records, excluding those regarding incidents or safeguarding concerns, you can do this by contacting us at befreeforestschool@hotmail.com
Information which is recorded in an incident e.g. for first aid or safeguarding may be shared with relevant authorities in line with our safeguarding procedure and policy.
